The articles published in this issue comprise contributions from Estonia, Spain, France, England, the United States, Italy, and Japan, each one by a specialist in one or more areas of income distribution. In addition to the original work of each set of authors, this issue includes an index of all previously published papers in the fifteen-year history of the Journal of Income Distribution.

The fifteen-year history of the Journal of Income Distribution and its publication of original, high-quality work continue with the launching of its first New Series issue. Produced as an Index Issue to remind readers of all the authors and referees who have been active participants in the process of the Journal’s providing current research, it also includes a number of articles focused on new research.

Volume 15, Index Issue offers a rich overview as well as fresh ideas:

  • The model publication that the Journal was to become is highlighted with a reprise of the original editorial which launched the Journal.
  • The stability of the properties which make the JID a distinctly important publication and analyst of economies and income distribution is underlined
  • The list of the many contributors to articles over the 15 years of publication in all areas of income inequality, economic well-being, wealth, government expenditures and taxes, growth, and labor is provided.
